Rita Jain

Dr. Jain joined the board of directors in January 2023 and is a Board Certified Rheumatologist with over 20 years of experience in leading pharmaceutical development across a range of therapeutic areas and companies. Her career includes more than 15 years in senior executive or CMO roles. She is a Supervisory Board member at AM-Pharma B.V. and previously served on the Board of Directors for ChemoCentryx, Inc. until its acquisition by Amgen. Prior to her board roles, she held senior executive roles at AbbVie (Abbott) and Searle. She offers a depth of experience in the development of strategy in multiple global programs across all stages of development, and her therapeutic experience includes immunology, inflammation/pain, men’s and women’s health, obesity, asthma, cystic fibrosis, and nephrology.

Dr. Jain received her MD from the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Medicine and completed her Rheumatology fellowship at North Shore University Hospital. She further completed a Clinical Research Fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and as an academic rheumatologist, played a lead role in managing a Clinical Research Unit.
