Head Athletic Trainer at Providence Bruins

Rob Tagle has extensive experience as an athletic trainer, with a focus on ice hockey. Rob most recently served as the Head Athletic Trainer at the Providence Bruins since August 2021. Prior to that, they were the Assistant Athletic Trainer for the same team from July 2019 to August 2021. Before joining the Providence Bruins, Tagle held the position of Head Athletic Trainer/Strength Coach at Worcester Railers HC from July 2017 to July 2019. Rob also served as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Everett Silvertips Hockey Club from June 2016 to July 2017. Tagle began their career as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins from July 2015 to June 2016. Rob also worked as a Teacher Assistant at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania from July 2015 to June 2016.

Rob Tagle completed their education in a sequential manner. Rob first obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Athletic Training/Strength and Conditioning from Neumann University, which they attended from 2011 to 2015. Following this, Rob pursued a Master's Degree in Athletic Training at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania, completing their studies from 2015 to 2016. Currently, they are pursuing a Doctor of Athletic Training (DAT) degree at Florida International University, which they started in 2021 and is expected to complete in 2023.

In addition to their academic achievements, Rob has also obtained several certifications. Rob became a Certified Athletic Trainer in June 2015, certified by the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer. Rob further enhanced their knowledge and skills by earning certifications such as the Sports First Responder from the Canadian Red Cross in June 2017, the Reflexive Performance Reset-Level 1 from Reflexive Performance Reset in November 2018, and the Pelvic Restoration from the Postural Restoration Institute in June 2018. Rob also obtained the Master Dry Needling-Level 1 from Masterdryneedling in August 2018 and the Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in January 2019. Additionally, they hold certifications as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) obtained in May 2019, and as a Level-1 provider of Bloodflow Restriction Training from SmartTools in July 2020. Most recently, Rob has acquired certifications such as the Lower Extremity Level 1 from ART® (Active Release Techniques®) in August 2022, the Sports Manual Therapy Certification from the Institue for Athlete Regeneration Education Systems in June 2023, and the Spine Level 1 from ART® (Active Release Techniques®) in August 2023.
