Steve Maurano

Steve Maurano currently serves as the Associate Vice President at Providence College, overseeing Government & Community Relations, Public Affairs, and Media Relations. Prior to this role, Steve held the position of Assistant Vice President at the same institution. Steve's experience also includes serving as Associate Commissioner and Acting Commissioner at the Rhode Island Board of Governors for Higher Education, where responsibilities included external affairs and leadership during a transition period. Steve spent 22 years at Duffy & Shanley, Inc., advancing to Senior Vice President and Partner in charge of Public Relations. Earlier career roles included Director of Advertising & Public Relations at Hospital Trust National Bank and Communications Assistant at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. Steve holds a Master's degree in Public Relations from Boston University and a Bachelor's degree in English from Providence College.
