Steve Smith

Steve Smith's work experience includes various roles in the finance and accounting field. Steve began their career at JPI as an Accountant from February 2005 to February 2007. Steve then moved on to Dale Operating Company, where they worked as an Accountant from February 2007 to April 2011. Steve joined RSP Permian, Inc. as an Accounting Manager from April 2011 to April 2014, before becoming a Financial Controller from April 2014 to August 2017. Steve then worked as a Controller at Elephant Oil & Gas, LLC from March 2018 to May 2020. Currently, Steve is serving as the VP of Finance & Accounting at Providence Energy Corporation since May 2020.

Steve Smith completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting from Louisiana State University, where they studied from 2000 to 2005. In 2014, they enrolled at SMU Cox School of Business and obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General in 2016. In addition to their academic achievements, Steve Smith also obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy in September 2010 and the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. in November 2005.
