Christopher Vilches

Christopher Vilches has a diverse work experience, starting as a Inventory Coordinator at Marine Harvest in 2002 and later becoming an Account Manager at Basic Grain Products - Tastemorr Snacks in 2005. Christopher then worked as a Full-Time Care Provider for their family from 2008 to 2013. In 2015, Christopher completed practicums as a Health Records Administrator at Vancouver Coastal Health and as a Health Records Clerk at Fraser Health Authority. Christopher also had a practicum as a Health Information Administrator at Providence Health Care in 2016. From 2017 to the present, Christopher has worked at Providence Health Care as a Specialist and then as the Lead of Transcription Services Education, where they are responsible for supervision, policy implementation, and collaboration with management. In 2016, they also had a HIM Senior Practicum at BC Patient Safety & Learning System.

Christopher Vilches obtained a Diploma in Health Information Management from Douglas College from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they received a Marketing Management Diploma with a focus on Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from the British Columbia Institute of Technology from 1999 to 2001. Christopher also holds a certification as a Certified Health Information Management Professional (CHIM) from CHIMA, obtained in 2016.
