Interim VP, Pandemic Response & Senior Medical Director, Quality & Safety at Providence Health Care

Dr. Janet Kow was appointed Interim Vice President for Pandemic Response in August 2020 at Providence.

Dr. Kow is Providence’s Senior Medical Director of acute care and quality & safety. She is also physician program director of elder care.

Dr. Kow has the accountability for ensuring that Providence is resilient in the new COVID-19 world, implementing pandemic planning and management in an integrated and comprehensive manner with Providence’s quality & safety, and Infection Prevention & Control (IPAC) functions. Dr. Kow supports alignment and planning with the Ministry of Health’s new Pandemic Response Division, partnering with the Health Authorities across BC.
