Judith Lynam

She is a Professor Emeritus in the UBC School of Nursing. Her career as an educator and researcher builds upon her foundational clinical work in pediatrics and community health. A central concern of her research has been to ensure patient and family perspectives are considered in the design and delivery of care to improve health outcomes. Most recently she has focussed on the design and evaluation an innovative community based interprofessional and intersectoral social pediatrics initiative that has fostered access to care, integrated services along the continuum from prevention to specialized services and improved health outcomes for some of Canada’s most vulnerable children and families. She has experience in curriculum design, programme evaluation and accreditation. She has worked with teams of educators, practitioners and policy makers who share the goal of responding to adversities and improving inequities in countries throughout the world.
