Melodie Yong

Melodie Yong, ACC, has an extensive career at Providence Health Care since October 1996, currently serving as Regional Manager of Culture & Communications in Health Information Management (HIM). Melodie has held various leadership roles, including Manager of Culture & Communications and Manager of People Strategy & Stakeholder Engagement, where responsibilities included driving people engagement in change management and enhancing stakeholder relationships. Melodie's experience also encompasses developing communication strategies for HIM, leading a significant cost-saving transcription services project that redirected over $7 million annually to patient care, and providing operational leadership for outpatient cardiology clinics. Additionally, Melodie contributed to health communication via a nutrition segment on Global Television BC from 2007 to 2016 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from The University of British Columbia.
