Michael Cummings

Chief Of Neurology And Medical Director, Mission Stroke Center at Providence Holding

Michael Cummings has extensive work experience in the field of neurology. Michael started their career in 1982 as a Neurologist at Michael Cummings, MD, Inc, where they specialized in dementia, stroke, behavioral neurology, electrodiagnosis, and headache. Michael also had a teaching role at the University of California (Irvine) School of Medicine as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology during the same period. In addition, they served as the President of Orange Coast Neuromedical Group from 1982 to 2000. In 2000, they joined Mission Hospital and Medical Center as the Chief of Neurology and Medical Director of Mission Stroke Center, where they played a key role in developing the center and contributing to Orange County's regional stroke system.

Michael Cummings obtained a Certificate in Neurology Residency Program from Baylor College of Medicine from 1978 to 1982. Prior to that, they acquired an MD degree from the University of Washington, where they also completed a BS in Molecular Biology from 1971 to 1974. Additionally, they pursued Molecular Biology studies at Washington University in St. Louis, MO from 1970 to 1971.
