Providence keeps kids safe and families together, embracing them with support to enhance stability that strengthens communities. We offer free, voluntary emergency shelter and services to children from newborn through twelve years old in a loving, trauma-informed, home-like setting while our Social Work Team helps parents and guardians address their challenges through family preservation services, including case management, counseling, parent education, and connections to more than 130 community partners, to enhance stability for the future. We also provide family preservation services in the community through our Community Education and Resiliency Program.

The Operations & Strategy Team at Providence House ensures the seamless functioning of all organizational activities and the execution of strategic initiatives to enhance our mission. This multidisciplinary team manages donor engagement, facility maintenance, nursery operations, event planning, and community outreach, synergizing efforts to maintain a safe and supportive environment for children and families. They collaborate to develop and implement strategic plans, optimize operational processes, and forge partnerships, ultimately strengthening community stability and family preservation efforts.

The Health and Human Services Team at Providence House ensures holistic support for children and families. The Compliance & Quality Manager maintains adherence to regulations and service standards. The Creative Arts Therapist uses therapeutic art activities to help children heal from trauma. The Family Services Coordinator assists with family support and case management. The Domestic Violence Response Team provides specialized support for victims of domestic violence. The American Red Cross Instructor offers emergency preparedness and response training. The Child Development Specialist focuses on the developmental needs of children, ensuring age-appropriate growth and learning.

This team identifies, applies for, and manages grants from government entities and foundations, ensuring compliance with funder requirements. They also build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to enhance funding opportunities and foster long-term partnerships.

Grants and Funding Team

The Human Resources team at Providence House is responsible for recruiting and onboarding staff, managing employee benefits and relations, and ensuring compliance with employment laws.
