Yuko Arita Ph.D, PMP has worked in various roles in the scientific field since 2011. Yuko began their career as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Molecular Ligand Discovery Research Team at RIKEN, Japan, where they designed and conducted multiple experiments in molecular biology, served large scale bacterial competent cells, and played a lead role in collaborative projects with biotech companies. From 2013 to 2021, they worked at the University of Toronto as a Senior Scientist and Project Leader, where they directed research design and execution of experiments investigating genetic interactions of human rare-disease-related gene functions, supervised undergraduate and graduate students and technicians, conducted drug screening and chemical assays, and led a collaborative project with biotech company Calico. Since 2021, they have been working as a Scientist at Providence Therapeutics.
Yuko Arita Ph.D, PMP has an extensive education history. In 2001, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Rikkyo University. Yuko then earned a Master's degree in Chemical Genetics from the same institution in 2005. From 2005 to 2007, Yuko attended The Laboratory of Chemical Genetics, RIKEN, and obtained a Ph.D. in Chemical Genetics. Yuko also earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemical Genetics from Saitama University between 2007 and 2011. Most recently, in 2020, Yuko earned a Certificate in Project Management from the University of Toronto.
