J Evora has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Joao "J" currently holds the position of Health Center Director at Providence Community Health Centers, where they oversee the provision of affordable and comprehensive primary health care services to the residents of Providence and its surrounding areas. Prior to this, they were the Founder/CEO of The Evora Group. Joao "J" also worked as a Clinical Outreach Consultant at The Pointe Malibu Recovery Center, providing recovery solutions for addiction and mental health issues. J Evora served as a Clinical Outreach Specialist at Newport Academy, where they contributed to the program's commitment to treating families with dignity and respect. Joao "J" was the Regional Resource Director for the New England Region at Caron Treatment Centers, focusing on providing evidence-based behavioral health and addiction programming. Additionally, they have experience as a Project Coordinator (Business Development) at the Gavin Foundation, Inc., Assistant Vice President of Operations at Massachusetts Behavioral Health Partnership, and Director of PCC Plan at the Office of Providers & Plans, EOHHS, Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Joao "J" Evora has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Massachusetts, completed in the year 2000. Joao "J" then pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration from Fitchburg State University, completing it in the year 2008. Following this, they obtained a Human Services Leadership and Management Graduate Certificate from Suffolk University in the year 2015.
