Debbie Bushaw has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Debbie started their career in 1977 as an RN on the Critical Float Team at Surrey Memorial Hospital. From there, they moved on to work as an RN and Nursing Supervisor at Kitimat General Hospital. In 1986, they joined Peace Country Health as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room (OR) and continued in that role until 2003 when they joined Interior Health Authority as an OR RN. In addition to their nursing roles, Debbie also worked as Manager/Owner in security sales, installation, service, guard response, and monitoring station at All Peace Protection, from 1986 to 2010. Most recently, in 2019, they held the position of Clinical Informatics Adoption Lead at Provincial Health Services Authority.
Debbie Bushaw completed their Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse degree from Red Deer Polytechnic in 1975. Debbie further pursued a Critical Care Nursing program at Vancouver Community College (VCC) from 1982 to 1983. Later, they attended Grande Prairie Regional College from 2001 to 2003 for further studies in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse.
