Kacey Dalzell is an experienced leader in mental health and substance use services, currently serving as the Executive Director of the BCMHSUS Research Institute & Strategic Initiatives at BC Mental Health and Substance Use Services since December 2024 and as the Executive Director of Drug Toxicity, Prevention and Response at the Provincial Health Services Authority since June 2023. Previously, Kacey held various leadership roles within the BC Ministry of Health, including Chair of the Provincial Early Psychosis Intervention Advanced Practice Program and Director/Strategic Advisor. Other notable positions include Regional Lead at Vancouver Coastal Health and Manager of Mental Health and Substance Use. Kacey also has substantial experience in research and quality analysis from time spent with organizations such as the Centre for Clinical Epidemiology and Evaluation. Kacey holds a Master of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University, set to be completed in December 2024, and a Master in Public Policy, focusing on Public Health, from the same institution.
