Warren Pears has a diverse work experience spanning over 24 years. Warren began their career as a Territory Manager at Cascadia Brands Inc., where they managed a sales territory and increased sales volumes. Warren then worked as an Audit Manager at Rolfe, Benson Chartered Accountants, where they gained experience in providing expert GAAP presentation and disclosures.

Following this, they joined Weyerhaeuser as a Financial Manager in Corporate Accounting and later became an Accounting Manager in Canadian Forestlands. In these roles, Warren implemented accounts receivable systems, improved cash flow, and provided financial reporting and analysis to support decision-making.

Warren then joined Terminal City Club as a Controller, where they were responsible for overseeing accounting and financial processes, preparing annual operating plans, and making financial recommendations to senior management and the Board of Directors.

Warren continued their career at Vancouver Coastal Health, where they held various director roles in Financial Planning & Business Support, Financial Services, and General Accounting Services. In these roles, Warren developed research fund policies and managed budgets of up to $100 million.

Afterwards, they worked at the City of Richmond as Manager of Financial Systems, leading projects to improve revenue completeness and cash handling and developing a capital investment planning model.

Warren then moved to Health Shared Services BC as Director of Revenue Services before joining BC Clinical and Support Services in the same role. At both organizations, they implemented customer service initiatives, reorganized department teams, and led the successful replacement of obsolete legacy systems.

Most recently, Warren has been working as a Senior Director of Revenue Services at the Provincial Health Services Authority.

Throughout their career, Warren has demonstrated strong financial management skills, strategic planning abilities, and a commitment to improving operations and customer service.

Warren Pears obtained a High School Diploma from St. Michaels University School in 1985. Warren then went on to earn a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Economics from the University of Victoria between 1986 and 1992. Lastly, they completed their education by becoming a Chartered Accountant through the Institute of Chartered Accountants of BC from 1996 to 1999, specializing in Accounting, Finance, and Tax.
