Iliana Janssens

Iliana Janssens currently serves as Coördinator Bosuitbreiding at Provincie Antwerpen since November 2022. Previously, Iliana held the position of Biodiversity Policy Officer at WWF-Belgium from August 2019 to October 2022, focusing on the impact of Belgian consumption and production on biodiversity and advocating for sustainable policies. Iliana also completed internships scrutinizing deforestation associated with cocoa cultivation and contributing to the Economic Valuation of Ecosystem Services project at the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Biology: Human Ecology from Vrije Universiteit Brussel and a Master of Science in Conservation Biology from the University of Vienna, among other relevant degrees.
