Justin van Schepen

Justin van Schepen is a seasoned professional in European public affairs with a strong background in climate change policy advocacy. Currently serving as a Senior Representative at Provincie Noord-Holland since November 2024, Justin previously held the position of Manager Climate Change Policy at Cefic from May 2019 to October 2024, where responsibilities included overseeing the organization's stance on the Emissions Trading System, Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, and carbon removals certification while managing expert groups. Prior to these roles, Justin gained experience as a Public Affairs Manager, EU Policy and Advocacy Advisor, and EU Policy Researcher at various organizations, including a notable internship at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Italy. Justin holds a Master's degree in European Public Affairs and a Bachelor's degree in European Studies, both from Maastricht University.
