Rene Takens

Rene Takens is an experienced professional in soil and groundwater remediation, currently serving as Projectleider bodemsanering at Provincie Overijssel since September 2022. With a long tenure at Tauw bv since November 1989, Rene has held multiple roles, including Consultant for Industrial Site Development and Soil and Groundwater Remediation, and has contributed to the development of an integrated decision support system as a Graduate, receiving a nomination for the IJselland Prize. Previous positions include Projectleider Bodem at Inspectie Leefomgeving en Transport, an Opvolgend Gemeenteraadslid for GroenLinks, and various analytical roles in chemical research at Akzo Nobel Chemicals and Catholic University Nijmegen. Rene obtained a degree from IJselland University of Applied Sciences between 1992 and 1997.
