Brent Garlick

Brent Garlick is an experienced professional in economic development and employment counseling. Currently serving as the Business Development Manager for Provo City since 2021, Brent focuses on enhancing economic growth and vitality, collaborating with top companies for their retention and expansion. Previously, Brent worked as an Employment Counselor for the State of Utah, assisting lower-income families in developing employment skills and achieving career goals. Brent also volunteered with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in New Zealand, implementing self-reliance initiatives and mentoring individuals. Prior experience includes a decade as Business Development Manager/Director for West Valley City, where Brent established economic development strategies and strengthened business relations. Earlier in career, Brent was the Strategic Relations Sr. Manager at Novell, Inc., managing partner relations and programs across North America and Europe. Brent holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Urban Planning and a Master's Degree in Geography and Public Administration from Brigham Young University.
