Bill Mertz, RPLU, serves as Brokerage Team Lead at ProWriters since January 2021, where responsibilities include leading brokerage operations and serving as a Senior Broker. Prior to this, Bill held multiple roles at Apogee Insurance Group, a Berkshire Hathaway Company, from September 2015 to January 2021, including Assistant Vice President and A&E/Environmental Product Leader, and Senior Account Manager. Key achievements at Apogee involved growing and maintaining books of business in A&E, Contractor, and Environmental sectors, generating new and renewal submissions, and analyzing insurance proposals. Bill began the career as a Customer Service Associate, focusing on administrative support and customer interactions. An educational foundation in Strategic Communications was earned at West Virginia University from 2011 to 2015.
