Francesco Sciortino

Francesco Sciortino is the Co-Founder & CEO of Proxima Fusion, where Francesco is developing fusion power plants based on the quasi-isodynamic stellarator concept. With experience in research and coordination roles at institutions like Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics and EUROfusion, Francesco has a strong background in plasma physics and fusion energy. Francesco holds a Ph.D. in Plasma and High-Temperature Physics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and has completed various research projects and educational programs related to their field of expertise.
