Andrew Stephen

Andrew Stephen currently serves as an Expert Advisor at Proximity, a position commenced in February 2023. Prior to this, Andrew held multiple roles within the Department of Human Services from December 2012 to February 2023, including Special Advisor and National Manager Procurement and Records Management, where responsibilities involved overseeing procurement and contract management frameworks. Andrew also worked at Services Australia as the National Manager Procurement Branch from February 2020 to October 2022, focusing on procurement and contract management activities. Earlier experience includes serving as the Director Policy and Practice at the Department of Finance from December 2005 to December 2012, where Andrew contributed to the Commonwealth Procurement Framework and Public Private Partnership policies. Andrew holds a Master's degree in Systems Engineering majoring in Project Management from the University of Technology Sydney, an Advanced Diploma in Accounting from the Canberra Institute of Technology, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
