Yagmur Gulkanat has extensive experience in advanced analytics and machine learning, currently serving as the B2B and Affiliates AI Lead at Proximus Ada since January 2025 and as the Advanced Analytics Team Lead at BICS since February 2021. Prior roles include Machine Learning Engineer at dataroots from January 2021 to January 2025, Software Design Engineer at TOMRA Food from October 2018 to January 2021, and Research Engineer at Materialise, focusing on automated segmentation algorithms utilizing Deep Learning methods from November 2015 to October 2018. Yagmur began a career in research as a Research Assistant at Istanbul Technical University from November 2011 to September 2015, managing the High Performance Computing Lab. Yagmur holds an MSc in Computational Science and Engineering from Istanbul Technical University and a BSc in Mathematics from Ege University.

Proximus Ada
Proximus Ada is the first Belgian Center of Excellence dedicated to artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. These are two key areas to help Belgian society meet the challenges of today and tomorrow. On the mid-term, our ambition is to make Proximus Ada a reference in Europe in the fields of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. The name of the center of excellence pays tribute to Ada Lovelace, an English mathematician and writer from the first half of the 19th century, who is considered the first computer programmer in history.
