Irene Blanco Gozalo is an experienced social educator and researcher currently serving as a docente investigador and administrative head of studies at CES Don Bosco, affiliated with the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, since February 2017. In addition to this role, Irene has been an educadora social at Proyecto Hombre Madrid since July 2018, focusing on residential support for individuals recovering from drug dependency. Previous positions include work as an educadora social with UTE Asociación Lakoma and Fundación Cauces, where efforts were directed towards reintegration of individuals with drug dependencies, as well as internship experiences aimed at supporting individuals with mental health challenges and at-risk youth. Irene holds a Master’s degree in psychosocial rehabilitation in community mental health from Universitat Jaume I and a Bachelor's degree in Social Education from CES Don Bosco, complemented by training as a leisure and free time monitor.
