Duncan Buchanan

Duncan Buchanan is a highly experienced professional with extensive expertise in public policy, international relations, and trade. Currently serving as a Member of the Board of Trustees at Asia House and a Member of the Board of Directors at the UK-ASEAN Business Council since 2024, Duncan has held a Senior Director position at Prudential plc since 2016, focusing on International and UK Government Relations and Public Policy. Previously, Duncan was Chief of Staff at the Banking Standards Board and an Adviser at Global Counsel, specializing in strategy issues related to cross-border trade and investment between Europe and Asia. Additional roles include Head of the South Asia Unit at UK Trade & Investment and Private Secretary to the Secretary of State at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills. Duncan's education includes a Master of Studies in Oriental Studies from the University of Oxford and a Master of Arts in International Studies and Diplomacy from SOAS University of London.
