Steven Chan

Steven Chan is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in government relations and public policy across various sectors. Currently serving as the Group Chief Government Relations & Policy Officer at Prudential plc since August 2023, Steven's previous roles include International Head of Government Relations and Public Policy for Asia-Pacific and Latin America at PayPal, Managing Director & Head of Regulatory, Industry and Government Affairs at State Street, and Director of Government Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility at the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai. Earlier in the career, Steven held significant positions at the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. Department of State, along with consultancy roles at Booz Allen Hamilton and Deloitte. Steven earned a Master's degree in International Economics and Public Policy from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor's degree in International Affairs & Economics from Lewis & Clark College.
