Charles J. Maira Jr. has worked in the engineering field since 1980. Charles J. started out at IBM as a Sr Mechanical Designer / Tool Maker, where they designed detail and assembly drawings for Process Tools and developed drawings to document customers' requirements. Charles J. then moved to Endicott Interconnect Technologies in 2001, where they were a Senior Mechanical Designer/ Build Technician for the SURESCAN High Speed Explosive Detective System. From 2005 to 2010, they worked at Lockheed Martin as a Senior Mechanical Designer/ Build Technician, designing and documenting detail and assembly drawings for various mechanical truck parts. In 2010, they returned to Surescan Corporation in the same role, and in 2011 they moved to Rockwell Collins as a Senior Mechanical Designer. Finally, from 2012 to the present, they have been a Sr. Design Technician at Keystone Automation Inc. and a Project Assembly Manager at Production Systems Automation, Inc.

Charles J. Maira Jr. attended Johnson's College from 1977 to 1980, where they earned an Associate degree in Tool and Die Making.
