John Shopis

John Shopis is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in fleet equipment specification and design. Currently serving as a Principal Engineer and Lead Fleet Engineer at PSEG Long Island LLC since January 2014, John focuses on the design and operation of various vehicle types, adhering to ANSI standards and federal regulations, including innovative technologies such as CNG and hybrid trucks. Prior to this role, John was the Lead Fleet Engineer at National Grid from July 1985 to December 2013, where responsibilities included specifying and procuring utility equipment. John holds a Master of Science in Energy Management from New York Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Pratt Institute.
