Dr.-Ing. Michael Merten

Dr.-Ing. Michael Merten is a seasoned professional in the field of electrical engineering, currently serving as a Technischer Projektleiter at PSI Software SE since October 2021. Merten co-founded studamo and held the position of CEO from January 2020 to September 2021. Prior experience includes a role as a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter at the Chair for Electrochemical Energy Conversion and Storage Technologies at RWTH Aachen University from May 2014 to December 2019, with a focus on electricity markets, battery storage systems, artificial intelligence, and optimization. Additional experience encompasses an internship at ENGIE Laborelec - Latam, a student assistant role at E.ON Energy Research Center, and an assistant lecturer position at IENT Institut für Nachrichtentechnik. Merten holds a Doctor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University, alongside a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from the same institution, as well as educational experience at Queen's University Belfast.
