Stephen Sandford

Stephen Sandford has a lengthy work experience, starting in 1995 with their role as Branch Head in the Electro Optics and Controls Branch at NASA. Stephen then held various positions at NASA, including Deputy Director for Atmospheric Sciences, Director of Earth and Space Science, Director of Engineering, and finally Director of Space Technology and Exploration. In 2014, they joined Stinger Ghaffarian Technologies (SGT) as the Director of Systems Engineering. Currently, they are the Chief Executive Officer at Psionic Technologies, a position they took on in 2018.

Stephen Sandford has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Physics from Randolph-Macon College, which was obtained between the years 1978 and 1982. Stephen then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia, attending from 1984 to 1986. Finally, Stephen completed a Master's degree in Optics/Optical Sciences from the University of Arizona, attending from 1988 to 1989.
