Andreas Richter has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Andreas began their career in 2007 as the Head of Controlling for the German Armed Forces. In 2008, they worked as an S3-Officer at the Sanitätsamt der Bundeswehr. In 2012, they joined Applus IDIADA as a Project Leader for Pedestrian Protection, eventually becoming the Teamleader for Pedestrian Protection. In 2016, they worked as a Project Manager for Post Production Support at Krauss-Maffei Wegmann. Since 2017, they have been working at PSW automotive engineering GmbH, first as the Project Leader for Passive Safety e-tron GT, and currently as the Head of Development for Pedestrian Protection, Crash Applications, and Safety Electronics.

Andreas Richter completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Maschinenbau from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, in 2007, they received a Controller B certification from Bundesakademie für Wehrverwaltung und Technik. From 2004 to 2007, Andreas Richter pursued Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik studies at Universität der Bundeswehr München, although the degree name was not specified.
