Tony Budden

Tony co-founded Hemporium, Africa’s first cannabis/hemp company in 1996 and has been instrumental in helping to change laws, hearts and minds in the use of plant medicines in Africa and beyond. A thought leader in cannabis, he speaks regularly at industry gatherings. In April of 2020, he was recognized internationally by the Cannabis Business Awards in the US which named him one of its 100 Global Cannabis Icons. Tony was previously the Director of Government Relations and Strategy for Canopy Growth Africa.
