Dilara Bahceci

Dilara Bahceci has a diverse work experience in the field of science and communications. Starting in 2008, they worked as an Assistant Store Manager at Crust Gourmet Group until 2014. Dilara then transitioned to the academic field, becoming a PHD Candidate and later a Laboratory Demonstrator and Tutor at the University of Sydney from 2015 to 2020. In 2019, they joined Bod Australia Limited as a Science Communication Manager and Clinical Research Associate. From 2020 to 2021, they also worked as a CBD Expert in Science and Innovation at CBII CBD, partnering with CBII CBD UK and Bod Australia to educate people on the science of CBD and hemp.

Moving into the field of research, Dilara joined The Lambert Initiative for Cannabinoid Therapeutics as a Social Media Manager from 2019 to 2022. In 2021, they became a Research Collaborator at The Clinical Psychedelic Lab at Monash University, focusing on facilitating clinical trials with psychedelic therapies for psychiatric conditions. In 2022, they took on the role of Inaugural Media Fellow at Startmate for a short-term period. Dilara also joined The George Institute for Global Health as a Research Fellow, where they facilitated the development of innovative clinical trials for mental health conditions and was selected for the 2023 Emerging Thought Leader Program.

Currently, Dilara serves as the Head of Communications at Psylo starting in 2021. Dilara oversees communications strategies and supports the dissemination of scientific research related to mental health treatments. Overall, their work experience highlights their expertise in science communication, clinical research, and the use of psychedelics for mental health.

Dilara Bahceci pursued their education at the University of Sydney, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience. Dilara attended the university from 2010 to 2014. Later, they furthered their studies at the same institution and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Pharmacology from 2015 to 2019.
