Aadeel Akhtar, PhD, is the CEO and Founder of PSYONIC, where they develop advanced bionic limbs to enhance accessibility for both humans and robots. They currently serve as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at UC San Diego. Previously, Aadeel was an MD/PhD Fellow at the University of Illinois, where they were awarded the NIH National Research Service Award and contributed to neuroengineering research. Aadeel also held positions as a Research Fellow at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and an Adjunct Professor at Loyola University Chicago. Aadeel's innovative work was recognized as a 2021 MIT TR35 Innovator and they were a contestant on Shark Tank.
