Mohamed Elsafy

Mohamed Elsafy, MD, MSc, is an executive physician leader specializing in Global Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance. They began their career as a Medical Monitor at Organon from 2003 to 2007 and later served as a Clinical Research Physician at Johnson & Johnson between 2007 and 2009. From 2009 to 2022, they worked as a Senior Medical Safety & Pharmacovigilance Physician, and currently, they lead global pharmacovigilance and safety strategies for a lung cancer portfolio at Biotech. In 2022, Mohamed became the Vice President and Head of Global Medical Safety at Transcenta, overseeing the medical safety of multiple innovative therapies. They are pursuing their MD and MSc in Medicine & Surgery from Cairo University and continuing postdoctoral medical research at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.
