Established in 2005, PT Komatsu Astra Finance is a joint venture company that runs its business in corporate financing service which provides leasing service to premium/corporate customer with heavy equipment as the object finance. Previously, the Company only focused on specific industry which is coal mining industry. However, in year 2013, the Company had started to expand the business into non coal mining segment industry by having new portfolio with gold mining and agro-forestry customers. In 2014, the expansion of business keep continues, proven by having new portfolio with agro customers. The Company currently provides two types of financial service, namely Financial Lease as our main financing product and Installment Finance (Consumer Finance) as the addition Finance Lease which service for object finance Heavy Equipment which is the main business for the Company, whereas Installment Finance as the extension of the Company's main business referred to as Spare Part-Financing. The Company's national service coverage is directly made from the Head Office located at International Financial Centre Tower 2, Level 12B, Jl. Jenderal Sudirman, Setiabudi, South Jakarta, DKI Jakarta and as of 2023, we have 5 Representative Offices spread throughout Indonesia (Pekanbaru, Balikpapan, Surabaya, Makassar, and Jakarta). In accordance with the Company's mission to support sales of Komatsu & related products, majority of the Company object financed are Komatsu big equipment and related products that are sold through United Tractors. As of 2023, the Company's total Gross Financed since the Company established was US$ 3.5 Billion.
