Hengky Yap has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. hengky started their career as an Internal Control Officer at PT. Sawit Desa Kapuas in 2002. In 2004, they joined PT. Bank Danamon Indonesia, Tbk as a Head Teller and worked there until 2009. Following that, they served as an Office Manager at PT. Dock Bina Vista from 2009 to 2012. Hengky then joined PT. Asuransi Himalaya Pelindung as a Branch Manager and held the position until 2018. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as a POS Manager at PT MNC Asuransi Indonesia. Currently, Hengky is the Head of Marketing Office at Sompo Insurance Indonesia, starting in April 2019.

Hengky Yap completed their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from STIE Indonesia, Pontianak. hengky attended this institution from 2006 to 2008. Prior to this, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, General from AMIK Widya Dharma, Pontianak, where they studied from 1999 to 2002. Additionally, Hengky Yap has obtained a certification in Finance for Non-Financial Managers from LinkedIn in June 2022.
