Markus Bylund

Markus Bylund is the Head of Digitalization and Innovation at Sveriges Kommuner och Regioner (SKR), where they lead digital transformation initiatives in the public sector with a strong emphasis on governance, collaboration, and societal impact. Previously, Markus served as CIO at Region Gävleborg and has held senior roles across various organizations, including as a Research Lab Director at SICS Swedish ICT and as a Senior Scientist at the Swedish Institute of Computer Science. They are actively involved in strategic digital infrastructure and have contributed to numerous boards and advisory positions, focusing on enhancing digital governance and public value in Sweden. Markus holds a degree from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, which complements their extensive background in applied computer and systems sciences.
