Steffen Wekeck

Steffen Wekeck has extensive experience in the transportation and engineering industry. Steffen currently holds the position of Vice President of Engineering Mobility at PTV Group since November 2021. Prior to this role, they worked as an IT Consultant at PTA GmbH from June 2021 to November 2021. Steffen's long-term tenure at PTV Group spans from 2000 to 2021, during which they held various roles including Director of Traffic Software Development and Software Developer/Development Team Manager for PTV Visum. Steffen'swork primarily focused on transportation modelling, with a particular emphasis on transit assignment methodology.

Steffen Wekeck obtained their PhD in Mathematics and Computer Science from The University of Göttingen from 1997 to 2000. Prior to that, they completed their Diploma in Mathematics and Computer Science at The University of Göttingen from 1994 to 1997. Steffen began their higher education journey at the University of Kassel, where they pursued a degree in Mathematics with a focus on Computer Science from 1991 to 1994.
