Senior R&d Engineer at PTW

Mohamed Elmahdy is a Senior R&D Engineer at PTW since April 2023 and a Senior Deep Learning Researcher at Leiden University Medical Center since August 2017. With a PhD in Medical Image Analysis from Leiden University, Mohamed's research includes developing deep learning networks for unsupervised registration and segmentation of medical images, particularly in cardiac assessment and adaptive treatment planning. Previous roles include Scientific Researcher at Nile University, where a mobile application for dermatology image databases was developed, and Lecturer and Research Assistant at Cairo University, teaching various engineering and medical courses. Earlier experience as a Software Developer at Nebras Technology involved creating a 3D visualization module for medical imaging. Mohamed holds a Master's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, both from Cairo University.
