Richard G. Hubert has a diverse work experience in the field of software architecture and IT consulting. Richard G. began their career at Digital Equipment as the Director of UNIX Consulting and Porting Center. Richard G. later took on the role of Director of Visigenic Europe before founding Interactive Objects Software GmbH, where they served as CEO, CTO, and Founder. Richard also worked as an IT Architect at Testo AG and as an OMG.org Standards Specialist at the Object Management Group. In 2004, they became an IASA Fellow and member of the Board of Directors at the International Association of Software Architects. Richard G. went on to found Hubert & Associates GmbH, where they served as Founder, CTO, and IT-Architect. Currently, Richard is employed as the Chief Software Architect at PTW Freiburg, where they are responsible for Medical Software and Systems Architecture, Platforms, Web, IoT, Cloud, Digital Twins, Identity, and Security.
Richard G. Hubert holds a Double Masters of Science (MSc) degree in Chemical Engineering/Energy Systems and Computer Engineering/Realtime Control from the Georgia Institute of Technology, which they obtained from 1982 to 1987. Prior to that, they attended Druid Hills High School from 1973 to 1977. Richard G. also briefly studied at the American School of Paris from 1974 to 1975. In addition to their formal education, Richard G. Hubert has obtained several certifications, including Fachplaner für Energieeffizienz BAFA KfW / Certified Energy Planner+ Consultant in 2011 from the https://energieberater24-nwg.oekozentrum.nrw, IEEE CSDP (Certified Software Development Professional) in 2008 from IEEE, and Certified Master Convergent Engineer in 1997 from the Convergent Engineering Institute in St. Mateo CA, USA.
