Heather Pinckney is an experienced defense litigator who has worked in various roles within the legal field. From September 2022 to present, Pinckney serves as the Director at Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. Prior to this role, Heather was the Owner and Managing Partner at Harden & Pinckney, PLLC from November 2008 to October 2022. Pinckney also has experience as the Deputy Trial Chief and Supervising Attorney at Public Defender Service from September 2000 to November 2008. Heather obtained their J.D. in Law from The George Washington University Law School in 2000.
