Althea House

Althea House is a Senior Manager at the Public Health Agency of Canada since March 2020, focusing on Nursing, Vaccines, Public Health, and Emergency Response, with volunteer experience in Suicide Support. Prior roles at the same agency include Associate Director and Manager of the National Advisory Committee on Immunization, overseeing a multidisciplinary team that produces vaccine guidance, and Manager of Seasonal and Pandemic Influenza, responsible for national guidelines and pandemic preparedness. Althea has a background as a Nurse Practitioner at Pinecrest-Queensway Community Health Centre and North Lanark Community Health Centre, and has provided community health nursing services in Nunavut and with Health Canada. Beginning a career as a Palliative Care Nurse with the Victorian Order of Nurses, Althea holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Ottawa.
