Margaret Gillis has extensive experience in the field of healthy aging and advocacy for older people. Since November 2021, they have been serving as Co-President of the International Longevity Centre Global Alliance. Prior to that, they held multiple roles at the International Longevity Centre Canada starting from 2015, including President and President International Longevity Centre Canada. Their work focused on advocating for the needs and rights of older people, conducting research and policy development, promoting social and civic engagement of older individuals, and serving as a valuable resource for policymakers and stakeholders in matters related to healthy aging.
Margaret Gillis has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from Queen's University. Margaret also holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from Carleton University.
