Dieter B. is an experienced Bioinformatics Data Scientist currently contributing to the Covid–19 Enhanced Response Project at the California Department of Public Health, focusing on infectious diseases and the development of the Genomics Center. Previous roles include Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at Talis Biomedical Corporation, where primer design for LAMP assays was conducted, and Bioinformatics Data Scientist at the Joint Genome Institute, where analysis pipelines were developed using machine learning techniques. Dieter has also held positions at Bristol Myers Squibb and Celgene, developing Next Generation Sequencing pipelines, and worked as a Computational Biologist at Mission Bio, among other significant contributions in various bioinformatics capacities.
