Prashant Jarhyan

Public Health Specialist at Public Health Foundation of India

Prashant Jarhyan has a diverse work experience in the field of public health and medicine. Prashant started their career at AIIMS in 2007 as a Doctor and worked there until 2009. After that, they joined VMMC and Safdarjung Hospital as a Senior Resident from 2010 to 2013. In 2013, they joined the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) as a Project Coordinator and worked in that role until 2016. Prashant then progressed to become a Program Manager at PHFI from 2016 to 2021. In 2021, they were promoted to the position of Senior Research Scientist, and as of April 2022, they hold the role of a Public Health Specialist at PHFI.

Prashant Jarhyan completed their Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree at Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla from 1997 to 2003. Prashant then pursued further education and obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Community Medicine from All India Institute of Medical Sciences between 2007 and 2009. Subsequently, Prashant Jarhyan pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in COPD epidemiology and translational research at Deakin University from 2016 to 2020.
