Laila Khundkar has extensive work experience in the public health sector. Laila started their career in 2016 as a Nutrition Intern at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. After that, they joined Public Health Solutions in 2016 as a Program Intern for Access to Health and Food Benefits. In 2018, Laila became a Program Coordinator, overseeing the Access to Health and Food Benefits program. In October 2021, they were promoted to the role of Deputy Director, Community Health & Nutrition Access at Public Health Solutions.
Laila Khundkar earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Anthropology with a minor in Cognitive Science from UC San Diego in 2014. Laila then pursued a Master's Degree in Public Health at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health from 2015 to 2017. Prior to their university education, they completed their high school education at Monta Vista High School from 2006 to 2010.
