Mark Smith

Mark Smith is an accomplished financial professional with extensive experience in accounting, reporting, and consultancy services. Currently serving as the Director of an Accounting & Reporting Consultancy since March 2013, Mark has worked with various businesses to enhance financial reporting capabilities. As a Non-Executive Board Member at the Public Interest Oversight Board since October 2023, involvement includes overseeing international auditing and ethics standards. Previously, Mark held significant roles including Chief Accounting Officer at Dialog Semiconductor prior to its acquisition by Renesas Electronics Corporation, and served as a member of the Corporate Reporting Council at the Financial Reporting Council. With a career marked by senior interim roles at prominent companies and positions at Ernst & Young and Tomkins plc, Mark's expertise is underpinned by a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Cambridge and a Fellowship from the ICAEW.
