Naweed Lalani is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the fields of audit, oversight, and financial services. Currently a member of the Standard Setters Boards Nominations Committee at the Public Interest Oversight Board since January 2022, Naweed has served as the Director of Infrastructure and Audit Oversight at the Dubai Financial Services Authority since August 2009, where responsibilities include fostering cooperation among stakeholders and thought leadership in policy development. Naweed's previous roles include Associate Director in supervision of Auditors and Credit Rating Agencies, and Chair of the Emerging Regulators Group at the International Forum of Independent Audit Regulators. A background in auditing at Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers further complements Naweed's skill set. Naweed holds multiple degrees, including Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan, an MBA in Finance, and certifications in Anti-Money Laundering and Global Sanctions.
