Eszter Boldis is an Associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP since October 2022, with extensive experience in legal research and practice. Currently serving as a Senior Research Associate at the Public International Law & Policy Group, Eszter has previously held positions as a Legal Extern in the Criminal and National Security Division at the United States Attorneys' Offices and as a Certified Law Clerk at the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. Additional legal experience includes internships with the Institute for Justice & Democracy in Haiti, the UC Irvine School of Law's Civil Rights Litigation Clinic, and early roles as a Law Clerk and Receptionist. Eszter holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of California, Los Angeles, as well as advanced degrees in Public International Law and International Crimes from prestigious institutions. Educational background also features a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics, and Law from USC Dornsife.

The Public International Law & Policy Group, a Nobel Peace Prize nominee, operates as a non-profit, global pro bono law firm providing free legal assistance to its clients, which include governments, sub-state entities, and civil society groups worldwide. PILPG provides pro bono legal counsel to clients on peace negotiation, drafting of post-conflict constitutions, creation and operation of transitional justice mechanisms, and ways to strengthen the rule of law and effective institutions. Since 1995, we have worked with over 40 state and non-state parties and provided legal assistance to all major war crimes tribunals. We maintain close partnerships with 12 of the top 15 law firms and have over 700 alumni working in the fields of law, government, foreign policy, business, and social advocacy around the world.
